Happy Surprises (For oya_cuteness)

Lockheed and Hanyuu continued to stay together, save when the little dragon was busy with important missions, but over the next couple of weeks on nearly every evening he would come inside of her, spreading waves of his seed into her waiting body as they became more confident in explorations of each other's bodies as they touched and felt each other all over on the sofa and bed, all the while becoming fast friends as Lockheed told her all about his allies in the X-Men.

On this particular evening Lockheed had flown back up to the apartment with a handful of flowers, knowing that human females tended to find the gesture sweet.

She blinked, poking her head out from under the blanket.

"It's...weird. I don't...actually know." she said.

Once her head was at least visible Lockheed was glad that she wasn't totally covered, though still concerned that she wasn't certain as to the source of the feeling. "Maybe Heed should have a look first? I mean if yeh happy to."

"Um...sure?" she said, not really sure what he could do. Though, something did occur to her.

"H-hey... you said... that you didn't know if you could...uh...get me pregnant or not...right?"

Lockheed was only intending to pull back the covers slightly so he could see if there were any visible signs of her problem, though he gave her enough warning for her in case she was uncomfortable.

Her words though made him blink and stare at her with surprise. "I... I did, yeah. Do yeh think that...?" A range of emotions went through his head at the idea that Hanyuu might be pregnant.

Hanyuu was naked, as she tended to be when she was around the little dragon. Why wear clothing, she reasoned, when she was just going to be taking them off anyway?

She wasn't exactly..showing, not yet. not so quickly, but...

"I...I think, maybe. It would definitely be something.... I've never felt before..." she admitted.

They did have enough sex together that it was a reasonable thing, though Heed had ensured Hanyuu had been supplied with plenty of clothes and hats to cover her head in case she wanted to head out and not appear unusual. But there was a slight protrusion.

"If... if that's true... then it would explain stuff. Though... well, Heed's race have eggs, lots of them, while yeh humanoids tend to have one live one. So I dunno what yeh would be like if I got yeh pregnant." He found himself smiling, despite the situation. If it was true they would be parents.

She blinked, her face going through several expressions, one right after the other, and ending up somewhere between 'shock' and 'surprise'.

"E-eggs...?!?"

The dragon glanced down at her again before looking a little guilty, though still feeling happy too.

"Yeah, lots of eggs, kinda varied but always at least five or six per birth. Though Heed's race's eggs start small since we're not big as adults so... Heed doesn't know."

She blinked again, just...pondering.

"Um.. I'll admit..." she said, taking the reasoned tone of an adult and not, well, what she appeared like.

"I've never actually thought about what it would feel like to have, uh...eggs...in me."

She was taking it better than the little dragon had expected whilst he moved closer to her, brushing his paw protectively against the side of her cheek.

"Well it' ain't like most humans do. So what do yeh wanna do? Don't know how long it might be till yeh might have any..."

Well, she was a combination of not feeling well, trying not to freak out, and oddly incredibly curious about the whole thing.

"Uhh, I don't know!" she said. "I've never even known this could happen before..." she looked over at the dragon. "Um.. I mean, you would probably know better than I would, right...?"

At least she was keeping a good perspective on the whole thing. Lockheed himself was trying to be calm too, and maybe a little excited about having children.

"Neither did Heed, but I like to think this might be a good thing, long as yeh do. Well Heed's race lay eggs after a few weeks and then they take about a week to hatch, maybe two? But yeh biology's kinda different."

She blinked. "A few weeks?" That was.... much more accelerated than she figured.

Lockheed gave another slightly guilty expression, whilst he was quite happy at the idea of having children with his girlfriend he figured having to bear them for her would be more trying.

"Yeah, Heed's race have a lotta kids in a flock so they lay them and then can get pregnant again whilst they wait for the eggs to hatch. But Heed doesn't know for yeh, or how many eggs yeh might have at once."

She blinked at that.

"So, uh..will I..." she started, hesitantly. "Have to like, sit on them? While they hatch? And, uh, make a nest and all that?"

Well the prospect of Hanyuu doing all of that made the little dragon chuckle slightly before stroking her hair. "Think keepin' them close is what matters most, and keepin' them warm, but from eggs dragons are pretty warm anyway. We just need to make sure they're safe, my love. And when they hatch yeh won't have to worry about them hurtin' yeh by mistake. Little ones are so lovin' to their mother, whether there's one or a hundred of them. I'll be here to help yeh too."

Well, that relieved her, somewhat. Except for the part about there being a hundred of them.

"S-so... I just... um, let them grow? In me? For... a few weeks?"

That wasn't likely in one round, though considering Lockheed's attraction to her and their enjoyment of sex, she might well be pregnant again before long. But at least he seemed to have relieved some of her fears.

"Yep, though yeh might have been carrying them for a week or two already, depends when yeh got pregnant. Then they should come out of yeh nicely. Like I said though, yeh bein' human means some things might be different."

She gave him a smile. "I guess we'll.. find out?" she said. This would be... an interesting experience, if nothing else.

"Is there anything that can... make me feel better, though?"

He did love that sweet smile, and with a tender paw against her cheek kissed her on the lips. It would be an interesting experience for them both, that was certain.

"I can try to find out for yeh what humans do, but meantime I can keep yeh company, if yeh like? Looks like we're gonna be parents in any case."

She nodded. "Company would be nice. I'll admit, I'm, uhhh...... pretty nervous."

He clambered onto her body so she could hug him against her chest if she wanted, glancing down at her belly whilst he did so. "Then I'm here for yeh. And I'm a bit nervous too, ain't been a dad before."

"Well, I haven't been a mother, either..." she said. "But, uh, my more immediate concern is the actual...er...process itself."

[kittysdragon]

"Oh, well Heed can try and get yeh help for that, like special nurses who might understand? If that's what yeh want." The dragon nuzzled her cheek affectionately. "Whatever yeh need, I'll try to get for yeh, that's a promise."

She smiled at that, nuzzling a bit in return.

"You're.. really kind, you know that?"

Lockheed smiled and blushed slightly in response, which on someone with purple scales must have looked interesting as he cuddled close to her.

"Aw... thanks. Guess if most humans think dragons are bad then I gotta be the one to prove them wrong, especially with a nice lady like yeh, Hanyuu. And yeh gonna be great with babies, I know it."

"I... don't think I will be. But.. I'll try." she said.

"Um. At least you'll get to see... if I look cute pregnant?" she ventured.

"I'll be there to help yeh whatever happens, I promise. But yeh will make a good mother, Heed is certain. And you always look good to me."

"So..until then..what will we do?" she blushed a bit.

He blushed back at her in response as he pondered what to do. "Well unless yeh wanna rest I guess we could do some more... guess yeh ain't gonna get more pregnant right now I think."
