Vist to Ranka's (For nyan_nyan)

The little dragon was happy after so long to finally be having a nice evening with the girl he'd met and become interested in, Ranka Lee, who was one of the few women he'd met outside the X-Men who was taken with him, despite his little appearance. With her address to hand it had been a simple case to fly over to her neighbourhood in the fading night. Tentively Lockheed peered into a nerby window, just to check he had the right place. The last thing he wanted to do was scare an unknown person by mistake.

To be fair Sentinels were tough to destroy even for mutants depending on the model. But Lockheed wouldn't judge her just because she didn't have powers of her own, in fact if she could sing that was a power in his opinion.

"Heed's glad yeh think it's fun, Lockheed likes hanging about with yeh, Ranka, yeh interesting, and pretty too." He'd respect that school could be boring, but it was important to learn things if they'd be important later.

Going by her canon it was pretty damn powerful indeed...

But Sentinels aren't Macross characters. Still, singing could move hearts and change minds, and that was something people often underestimated, but Ranka had seen it in action plenty of times. "Aww, thanks. You're a handsome little guy yourself you know," by dragon standards? "So, are you hungry yet?"

Because Ranka kinda was.

Dazzler had proven time and time over much the same thin in Lockheed's neck of the words, and her light based powers certainly didn't hurt either. In any case Lockheed blushed at being called handsome and rubbed the back of his head with a paw.

"Thanks. And yeah, Heed can always eat! I'm sure it'll be yummy too."

"I promise it'll be good." For her own sake as well as his, and she'd been cooking when she lived with her brother for years on top of that. "I already did all the time consuming stuff so it'll come along pretty quickly now, and then we can figure out a movie or show or something to watch after we eat."

Lockheed flew up to perch on her shoulder once more, if she had done waitress work he was sure she would be able to craft some nasty meals. "Good, it's smart to plan ahead huh? Lockheed ain't that picky about what he watches so if yeh have suggestions yeh can let me know."

"Oh, I'm sure we'll find something anyways... it's hard to decide when there are so many options, though." Netflix, a blessing and a curse - she might have to limit herself to physical copies just to come to a decision.

"You can watch me cook from up there if you want, just make sure you don't fall off or anything." Ranka reached up and patted him softly on the head.

"Maybe if we find something we both like that'll be ok?" Yes Kitty had Netflix and often had the same issues with picking stuff to see.

He let out a slight coo as she patted his head. "Don't worry, yeh shoulder's very comfy, but Heed won't slip off, promise, yeh food smells very nice!"

"There'll be something, I'm sure," she reassured, heading back to the kitchen.

"Anyways... lemme get started here." Lots of pre-prepped chicken, chopped up vegetables - rice already done. A quick meal at this point.

Lockheed smiled and elected to remain quiet for the most part whilst Ranka worked, figuring that she might need the concentration. Even so he watched her cooking skills with great interest.

It took just minutes to actually cook the small pieces of food, then to plate it all up, set the tables - although she wasn't sure if she needed to set any kinds of utensils.

He'd ask, probably. "What do you like to drink, and... uh, how should I serve it?"

Lockheed varied in how he approached food, though his little paws weren't really designed for human sized utensils, so generally he opted to use his hands. He was more debating on whether a chair would suit him on not - she wouldn't exactly see him and he'd likely be best perched on the table and cross his stumpy legs.

"Erm, water or soft drink is best, Heed tends to not agree with yeh alcohol. And a bowl is best, glasses ain't built for Heed."
